Yuleidys Feito, MD

Yuleidys Feito, MD, is a Spiritual and Mindfulness centered physician that believes in the human capacity of healing through a healthy mind , she is a licensed medical doctor in Florida and a Psychiatry Resident Physician who provides patient-centered psychiatric care at Unified Psychiatry. Her work focuses on careful evaluation, accurate diagnosis, evidence-based treatment planning, and medication management when clinically appropriate, always guided by thoughtful clinical judgment and individualized care.

Dr. Feito is currently in her third year of psychiatry residency training at Southern Winds Hospital and provides outpatient psychiatric services through Unified Psychiatry.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences in Havana, Cuba, in 1998, where she also completed her training as a Family Medicine Physician in 2002. She received ECFMG certification in 2015 and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida.

Dr. Feito is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Florida Psychiatric Association, the Dade County Medical Association, and the American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Feito’s clinical interests include Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), ADHD, and substance use disorders. She approaches psychiatric care with a strong emphasis on diagnostic clarity, symptom monitoring, and individualized treatment decisions informed by current evidence and best practices.

She values a whole-person perspective in psychiatric care, considering medical history, life context, and patient goals when developing treatment plans, while maintaining a clear focus on psychiatric services.

Dr. Feito has participated in research and quality improvement initiatives throughout her medical and residency training, contributing to projects focused on patient safety, clinical insight, and systems-based care.

Her scholarly work includes:

• Co-authoring research on semantic intrusion errors associated with plasma p-tau-181, published in Frontiers in Neurology (2023)
• Presenting a Lean Six Sigma quality improvement project focused on reducing patient misidentification through improved wristband verification, presented at the Florida Medical Association Poster Symposium (2025)
• Participating in additional clinical research presentations during residency training
  

Dr. Feito is fluent in Spanish and provides culturally responsive psychiatric care to Spanish-speaking patients and families. Her multicultural background supports thoughtful communication and individualized care across diverse communities.

Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Dr. Feito brings a global perspective to her work in psychiatry. Outside of clinical practice, she enjoys listening to music, singing, dancing, walking in nature, swimming, biking, and practicing mindfulness techniques that support focus and emotional regulation.
