Dr. Georgette De Jesus, MD, is a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry at South Florida Integrative Medicine. Since joining the practice in 2016, Dr. De Jesus has provided personalized, integrative mental health treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Her clinical focus includes ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, and Depression.

Dr. De Jesus earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 2003. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at Duke University, followed by a two-year Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University. Drawing on her extensive training and research experience, Dr. De Jesus delivers empathic, evidence-based care to help patients achieve lasting mental wellness.

Before joining South Florida Integrative Medicine, Dr. De Jesus built a successful private mental health practice in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and served as the Associate Residency Training Director for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Medical Director of the Children’s Partial Hospitalization Program at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.

Her research background includes work on Mood Disorders, ADHD, and genetics, with a research year at the National Institutes of Mental Health’s Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program. Dr. De Jesus’s research has explored novel treatments for depression and ADHD, contributing to advancements in psychiatric care.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. De Jesus teaches at the University of Miami, delivering lectures to medical residents on a range of mental health topics, including sleep disorders and tele-psychiatry. She is also an avid public speaker, providing talks for parents, teachers, schools and community groups to promote mental health awareness.
