Dr. Deborah Salani, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 35 years of healthcare experience. Since joining South Florida Integrative Medicine (SFIM II) in 2019, Dr. Salani has provided high-quality, insurance-based integrative mental health services to patients of all ages.

Dr. Salani’s diverse background includes clinical, administrative, and academic roles, allowing her to offer a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to mental health care. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Miami. Dr. Salani also completed the Post-Masters Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program and is board certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Salani serves as a Professor of Clinical and the Director of the Post-Graduate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies. Her dedication to education and mentorship ensures that future nurses and healthcare professionals receive top-tier training in both clinical skills and compassionate care.

Dr. Salani's extensive administrative experience includes leading the Emergency Department, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ECMO), and Hemodialysis Unit at Miami Children’s Hospital. She also served as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner on the Pain Management Team and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Hematology/Oncology and Pediatric Critical Care for nearly a decade.
